Re: v1.3.0 vs v1.3.1 AV Decoder H264

Thanks for the explanations! But this was not a problem for the AV Decoder in v 1.3.1. (node "A/V Media")! I've just compared the same simple workflow in v 1.3.1 and then in v 1.4.0.4. "A/V Media" node connected to IMX D-10 encoder. v1.3.1 - works fine in "intelligent" ...

FFAStrans 1.4.0.2 Interlacing Analyzer issue

Hello! The Interlacing Analyzer doesn't determine reliable results anymore. I work with IMX D-10 files (MXF OP1a), always flagged as 50i in header, but the content varies (progressive and interlaced material). In v 1.3 I always got reliable values for "outcome" and "confidence". ...

Re: v1.3.0 vs v1.3.1 AV Decoder H264

Hi! I've recently installed v1.4.0.4 and just have encountered the frozen/dropped frames when setting the AV Media Decoder to "Intelligent". Could it be using this misbehaving AV decoder also results in incorrect aspect ratios? When I feed it with IMX D-10 files (MXF OP1a, 720x576, AR 4:3,...

Re: Too Many Connectors

Hello! I also have a workflow with (too) many nodes. Now I cant delete nodes anymore and get the error message Line 58504... Array variable has incorrect number of subscripts or subscript dimension range exceeded. I have no backup version with fewer nodes ): Could you help me repairing my existing w...

Re: FFAStrans hardware configuration

Hello! Sorry for having used the technical terms a bit carelessly and thanks for your explanations! I have thought so far a compression standard only determines the structure of the result of an encoding to guarantee the correct decoding, but the way to get to an encoded video file is not a prescrib...

Re: FFAStrans hardware configuration

@momocampo: Hello and thanks for your proposal! Our input files don't have a predictable duration. It varies from short takes to complete movies. What is the idea behind your procedure? Is it to apply more compression to longer files or to speed up encoding of long files? @emcodem: To use Quicksync ...

Re: FFAStrans hardware configuration

Hello emcodem, thanks for your explanation! It would be great if you could give a recommendation. In our archive we have following source formats: SD D10/IMX50 in MXF Op1a, HD AVC Intra 100 in MXF Op1a and in the future probably UHD XAVC Intra 480 and FFV1 in MKV. The main target format is H.264 (de...

Re: FFAStrans hardware configuration

Hello! May I append a question regarding basic hardware configuration here? As I read in this forum, you recommend to use as much cores as possible at the highest clock speeds available, but with tendency to Desktop CPUs like Ryzen, Threadripper or i7, i9 (if just encoding times matter). So I won't ...
