Hello,
i'm doing several tests with distributed ffmpeg transcoding for thousands of audio files : with 2 servers instead of 1, i divide by about 2 the time needed.
But if a add more servers : i doesn't speed the workflow => more than 2 servers does 't help.
I don't know if it's a network issue, or something else...
I use the latest ffastrans.
Any idea ?
Thank you

Hi enka,
FFAStrans has no inbuilt restriciton on how many nodes you can add to the farm. In fact, it does not know and it does not "care". So, it might be a network issue. Are all the hosts working simultaneously or do they alternate on the jobs? How have you configured the media caches, local or shared? If shared; what kind of share is it?
