Hi all,
Looking for some quick help with what I thought was a simple workflow. I have one folder that has multiple videos with varying file names. I want to have the workflow pick up the file, convert to mp4 and drop in a designated folder. What is the best/most efficient means to do this?
I know I can setup one workflow with multiples of the same job like below. That just seems VERY inefficient since you have 3 monitoring folders doing the same thing.
Example 1
Monitor Folder (accept only A.mp4) -> H.264 -> Deliveries Folder (A Folder)
Monitor Folder (accept only B.mp4) -> H.264 -> Deliveries Folder (B Folder)
Monitor Folder (accept only C.mp4) -> H.264 -> Deliveries Folder (C Folder)
I have also tried the following.
Example 2
Monitor Folder (accept all) -> H.264 -> Conditional (if matches A.mp4) -> Deliveries Folder (A Folder) -> Conditional (if matches B.mp4) -> Deliveries Folder (B Folder) -> Conditional (if matches C.mp4) -> Deliveries Folder (C Folder)
Any tips or nudges in the right direction would be great. Thanks so much for developing this program!
Send to Folder based on Filename
Re: Send to Folder based on Filename
Hello,
I think the first will be better cause 3 files can be encoded at same time.
Cheers.

Hi guestbuy, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum!
Normally it really should not matter much. The first workflow is simpler and more efficient because there are less steps to get your desired result. The number of simultaneous encoding will be the same on both workflows.
