Hy guys,
i am testing the new version of FFAstrans
and i am testing some conversions from Quicktime with a 5.1 and Stereo Streams.
But using the SAME AS SOURCE audio setting it will create a new file with only one channel named "LEFT"
HELP!

Hello Luciano,
Please tell us what kind of files are your sources files and to what kind of files you want to encode. I tried from a Quicktime DNxHD 120 to Prores SQ (stereo and multi tracks) and all the files keep their own mapping audio...
Thanks
Benjamin

Hi, backlight,
I have also tried this and it seem to work as expected. Tried with an input file with 8 audio streams, all with different channel count and all layouts are preserved when using "Same as source".
Can you please send the log files from one of the suspected jobs? Just rightclick in the status monitor and open log folder. Zip all the content and post it here. Or if it's sensitive you can PM.

First of all thank you for your fast reply.
I'am converting Quicktime DNxHR HQX 10 bit
to PRORES using the PRORES node.
The Mapping is 8 ch divided in two streams (5.1 + 2.0)
And it gives me back only one channel.
In attachment you can find the result

Could you please send the logs for the job? In the inbuilt status monitor rightclick and select "Open log folder...", zip the contents and post it.
Thanks

Hi again, backlight,
No need to send logs. I have found the cause of the issue. It's partly a QuickTime problem and partly a FFAStans bug: QuickTime need to have audio disposition metadata written in order to find the audio other audio track but the first. FFAStrans did not write this data to the mov file and that's what caused the issue. If you look at the encoded files in other programs like VLC you will see that all audio tracks are present.
Anyway, I will probably release a bugfix update tomorrow evening.
Thanks for reporting!
