Extend File Duration

Hi,

I posted something about this a little while ago (year or so ago) - I never did manage to get it working. I tried splicing in a screen grab to the end of the file but the colour space never matched.

I'm looking to do the following and would appreciate some advice.

Input File MXF OP1a AVC Intra100 > Extend last frame by five seconds > Export as ProRes 422 HQ.

I'm happy enough to the in/out sections but just being able to take the last frame of the visuals and extend by five seconds resulting in a file that is five seconds longer in duration and has a five second freeze frame at the end is what I can't see to figure out.

Thanks

Aye :D

So as far as i understand, all you want to do is to grab the last frame of some input file and create a clip with 5 seconds out of the grabbed frame - all that by honoring the colors of the original input file.
I see you are pretty experienced in those topics, so what keeps you from doing a custom ffmpeg with -ssof 0.04 and same encoding settings as your input video has and then doing a commandline ffmpeg with -loop and -t options set?
My intention here is to get out some more details about what you already tried and not... possibly you tried ffmpeg with -loop option but it gave you some wrong colors?
Do i need to use some broadcast measure equipment to reproduce your problem? ...if yes, some files and workflow you already tried would be helpful
