Watermark does not work on x264

Hi,

Trying to use the watermark filter, but it does not work on mp4 files encoded with x264. The same decoder but set to use MPEG4 works just fine.

Would also be nice to be able to set the following in the watermark filter:

1. No scaling (the png is currently stretched all over the picture)
2. Positioning (I think ffmpeg positions watermarks from top left corner?

Just a hint...

So, if you remove the watermark filter or disable it, everything works OK?

Your requests are noted :-)

Correct, if I bypass the watermark I get a transcoded mp4 with x264 codec.
If I add the watermark the video is completely black
If I keep the watermark and change to MPEG4 codec it all works.

I'm unable to recreate the issue and I've been testing with lots of weird media. Can you export the workflow to me?

Hi rholm,

I know your post is pretty old.
Anyway.
In the last days I've tried out watermarking with my videos too.
With and without AviSynth.
When using AviSynth I had the same experience.
Unchecking the box "Use FFMpeg x64 for Encoding" in the "Encoders"-processor while using AviSynth solved it. In the help-menue is stated that "current 64 builds of FFMpeg lacks a support of AviSynth".

Best
