Hello

I have one question about my workflow. I would like to create a workflow with hold. Because when i send a file by avid this files is taking before the end of the export ( I have check the growing files but the files is taking before the end of the export )
I send a files "test.wav" and i would like to wait until "test.mxf" is create in the same folder.
I use the operation HOLD Wait for files ===> D:\FFAStrans0.8.0\test\%s_original_name%.mxf
The process remains blocked on operation HOLD even if me file is created.

I use the software since one year and it is a revolution, thank you for the job.

Seb

Hello,
I see in the latest releasenotes that this problem is solved (The "Hold"-node failed when waiting for files from variables). I wonder if you can also use this option with a ftp location as watch folder.
Anyone any idea how you can do that?
I do need to wait to have the xml file to be in the ftp folder before I can download the mxf with the same filename.

Hi arjan, thank you for using FFAStans and welcome to the forum! :-)

You cannot wait for ftp-files in the "Hold"-node. What you could do is make a two-part workflow: One to download mxf and xml files from ftp to a temporary local path. A second one to monitor the temporary local path for mxf files and use the "Hold" node to wait for the xml file. This should work.

Hi steinar, thank you for your answer. :D
The work-around works fine. On the local folder the mxf is waiting for the xml.
