We have some FS7 cameras. For other cameras we use ingest machine, but don't have it for FS7. Main problem is not about video, but appropriate XML files with timecodes.

If you have time and inspiration, please, create watch node for Sony cameras. I can help you with samples and data structures.

Or, you can add nodes with additional tools for working with text files and additional options in A/V for timecodes (or into encode nodes), and I will try create workflow for this.

FFAStrans should be able to find start time code from the MXF file itself. Is this not working? If it is, there's no need for the XML files in this regard.

The $read() function can read text files and save the content into a variable. You can then use functions like $between() to extract xml-information. FFAStrans will allways try to maintain the original start tc when encoding. So currently you're stuck with that but I will look at the option to set a custom time code in the encoders.
