Hi i am new to FFastrans and i wanted to convert a video into a Standard Definition. The current work flow looks like this:

Input folder ---> A/V Media ----> DVD iso-file -----> Output folder

In the DVD iso-file settings i have set all the parameters i need for the correct format but i want the video bitrate to be 15Mbps. That encoder option only goes up to 9.8Mbps. Also the audio sample rate changes from 48Khz to 44.1Khz by itself.

For the output i need these specification:
File extension : .mpg
Resolution: 720 x 576
Standard: PAL
Field Order: Interlaced, Top Field First
Bitrate 15Mbps
Audio Type: Stereo
Audio Sample Rate: 48KHz
Audio Bitrate: 192 Kbps

Please if anyone can help me
Thanks

Hi JohnB1, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum! :-)

DVD does not support that high bit rates. Maximum is aproximately 9800 Mb/s. Also, the node only writes 44100 Hz audio, so there is no option for 48000. The latter however is obviously a limitation I will look at.

Is there any other way to get the specification i need? How can i use custom FFMPEG to make this work?

Thanks

Yes, if you know how to use ffmpeg.

I have also tried using that but it makes an AVS file instead of the file i want. I know the commands for FFMPEG, but it is to make it work in the workflow, which isn't happening

Thanks

Ok, what does your custom ffmpeg look like?

so for a test trial i set the audio & video codec as well as the audo & video bitrate and left the options empty. For the extension i have left it as .mpg.

Folder ---> Custom FFMPEG ----> Folder

When i do this the the input file is just copied to the output file.

Well, that is strange. I just tried the same and it did what was expected; created a .mpg file and delivered it to the output destination. Could you export your workflow and post it here so I can take a look?
