Re: Avid MXF Atom with J2K or H264
I just tested Emcodem's code for the proxy and while it does AMA-Link successfully the consolidate failed.

Re: Avid MXF Atom with J2K or H264
Normal MCP is all you need, its in v8+ at least and you can just get a trial version (which I found a post explaining how to reset, very useful for testing) EDIT: See images here for the options when transcoding in Avid: http://24p.com/wordpress/ As far as I can tell it's just Avid needing a very st...

Re: Avid MXF Atom with J2K or H264
I am looking for the exact same thing now to, a proxy under 10Mbit/s would be great. Everything I've tried in ffmpeg so far has not been readable in Avid.

Re: DNxHD encoding issues
Yes it's definitely a lot quicker to transfer these large files when set this way and I think it may actually be faster in total job time to. Best part is that now after moving the cache I am no longer having the "short" transcodes issue. Every batch since has been perfect. Thank you so mu...

Re: DNxHD encoding issues
This makes a lot of sense, I've been getting the status "WARNING: Low work storage! The job will continue when you have at least 6 GB free storage." in FFAStrans when transcoding a lot of the IV heavy days (very long takes so the cache gets full), but I had read that message to mean it wou...

Re: DNxHD encoding issues
Logs from 4th pass, which was the correct duration. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Y2sBghkdQby15-5xFet__3279eyhlzRC (everything except for the 44GB mxf file. I presume this is the file it creates before splitting the video and audio tracks?) I've run it 3 more times and could not get it to reprod...

Re: DNxHD encoding issues
Starting with the results from the hex editor: 3rd pass, file does not playback or import, does not end in 41 4th pass, file does playback and import, does end in 41 (with A as pictured above) I couldn't find the logs for the failed export as there were many other folders but I'll keep running it un...

Re: DNxHD encoding issues
Might have spoken too soon. I appear to be having another seemingly unrelated issue that has been occuring before and after the patched file was implemented. There's a few long interview clips (ranging from 0.75-1.5hrs) that have transcoded and imported but are shorter than their original sources. I...

Re: DNxHD encoding issues

Re: DNxHD encoding issues
emcodem you're a legend! I'll test this out as soon as I can.
I guess you're right about the number of users with this use case being tiny, I only found out about the program after searching for network farming solutions for quite some time of which there was not a lot to find overall on it's own.
