DPX to ProRes 4444

Post by Bob Loblaw »

New User

I'm trying to create two custom FFmpeg operations
1) Going from DPX RGB 16 Bit to Apple ProRes 12bit 4444 - DCI 4K
2) and Creating a proxy of that footage in ProRes LT - DCI 4K

What do I put in the Video Codec box, Options Box and the extension box for each?

Additionally, I'd like to create a watch folder for the DPX footage and delete the footage after it has been encoded to ProRes 4444 and LT in addition to nameing the proxy LT footage the same as the 4444.

I greatly appreciate any help you can provide, this is well above my head.

Hi Rob Loblaw, thank you for using FFAStrans and welcome to the forum! :-)

Using the "Custom FFmpeg"-encoder node demands knowlege of ffmpeg and its options as a command line tool. So the rule of thumb is to always try your command in dos before applying it to the custom ffmpeg node. Have you done this? If not, please read this: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=235
