FFAStrans guideline

Post by momocampo »

Hello all,

Well I discover FFAStrans and I wonder if there is a pdf guide or something else to learn deeply the process. I understand the global process but when I try to create a specific workflow (rename target file or use variables ) I'm really stop...
Anyway, I will really like to learn how this software works but I don't know where begin.
If you can help me I will very happy.
Thank you very much.

Cheers

Hi momocampo,

I'm aware of the shortcoming of good help and guideline resources but it's a lot of work and most of my time goes into development. So the best thing to do right now is try and create the workflow(s) you think will work and if they don't, post it and explain what you try to accomplish.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your quick answer. You're right, I must try and try ;)
I have already well progress and I think I understand the mainline.
So and of course I have questions :) One for the moment :
Is it possible to clear the history (cache) at the end of a process?
Like this : Folder-Encode-Deliveries-Clear cache : because if I drop AGAIN the same file (not the same but a other file with same file name) I want the process do it again. I hope you understand my will.

Ok, I must go back to FFAStrans because there is too much possibilities!! (but I have to learn about these variables))

Thanks a lot
