Hi
I don't really understand how GOPRO watch folder works and I need some help please
I have Gopro with concatenates spanned clips and I want to transcode them to Xdcam for exemple.
What files I have to put in the Gopro Watch folder ? Only MP4 files ? The entire Folder "DCIM" or something else ?
I have tested many combinaisons and the transcode doesn't start
thank you for your help.

GOPRO Watch folder
Re: GOPRO Watch folder
Hi Fred,
Almost all software that regcognize specific camera-structures need the full unaltered structure and seeks from the root folder. So what you need to do is NOT pick and choose file but dump the entire memory-card to a folder and make FFAStrans monitor the root folder. F.ex:
Monitor: \\myserver\goproshare
Dump the card into: \\myserver\goproshare\my card
Then FFAStrans should be able to find your clips. Be aware that the monitor has not been tested with all kinds of gopro-cams so there might be differences not addressed in FFAStrans.
Please let me know how it turns out.

Re: GOPRO Watch folder
hi steinar
thank you for your reply.
It is exactly what I did before ask and It dosen't work : The workflow dosen't start, nothing happen. I have Gopro hero 5 footage.
Perhaps the problem is that I copy the entire folder from a backup (Hard drive backup) and not from the SD card directly.
What do you thing ?

Re: GOPRO Watch folder
No, it should not make a difference. Could you take a sort of printout or screenshot of the file structure on the SD-card?
Thanks!

Re: GOPRO Watch folder
Thanks for supplying the screenshot! It gave me perfect clue on why it does not work. So, at the moment you're a bit out of luck but I will try to fix it for the next release. Thanks again for reporting!
