Hi,
great software... finally something that will be a good alternative to CarbonCoder.
I'm planning to use the software in a non profit situation, in the Emma Childrenhospital's TV Station Emma TV ( in Amsterdam, The Netherlands )
i'm using there a setup with now CC en GV K2.
Are there already some try-outs done with K2 ?
also, will there be an API ?
again, great software !!

Re: Transcoding from and to GV K2
For upload to K2 we need to drop the (gxf/mxf) file extension, but I don't see that option in the FTP Delivery configuration.
Should we post a feature request for this?
...
I guess I found the solution in Encoding - Custom FFmpeg:
Next to the Options the Extension can be omitted there.
So the feature is already there for us.

Hi and thanks for using FFAStrans!
I don't know if anyone has ever tried FFAStrans for GV K2 delivery but I'm keen to know how it works out for you. Dropping extension on deliverey will be implemented for the next release. Thanks for you excellent suggestion
Currently there are no standard API for FFAStrans but it on the "road map/wish list". However, FFAStrans use a lot of text based files for internal "communication" but it's not documented for the public to use as an API. It may be used to trigger workflows, submit files, monitor processes and so on. If someones keen to take a shot at this "API" it I'm willing to help.
