First of all, thank you for your excellent program.
I noticed that when I choose a network share or a folder mapped on a network drive. The files are not added on queue. At first I thought it is because of the file size and it would take time to localize it but it is not the case. It would be great if that would have worked.
UNC Watchfolder
Re: UNC Watchfolder
Great program so far. Got me right out of a hole when I needed to build in a hurry a DR office.
Took me a while to configure it but,
I created many workflows, some transcoding, some just moving files about. Worked great without a hitch watching folders on a GBLabs SPACE NAS and QNAP TurboNas. Over the week that we used it It moved and transcoded over 25TB of files.
Any plans for any updates? Use of FFMBC to create AVCi-50 and AVCi-100 would be cool.
Cheers,
Guido

Re: UNC Watchfolder
Hi guys and thanks for using FFAStrans!
elgin:
I always make sure my programs work 100% with UNC paths and we use it all the time at my workplace. FFAStrans should work equally well with UNC as with local drives. BUT, i HAVE seen problems with monitors stop working when being "online" for a longer period, usually for a couple of weeks. I'm still trying to figure out what causes this behavior but it doesn't seem to matter if its UNC or local drive.
Guido:
I DO have plans for AVCi encoding so stay tuned

Re: UNC Watchfolder
I got it working now, thanks for the reply.
Re: UNC Watchfolder
Good! Do you know what caused your problem in the first place?

Re: UNC Watchfolder
I think, it was related to having more than one watch folder for the project.
