How do we clear the history of the Status Monitor? We have some 7k jobs but only need the last week's worth.

afaik we keep the log automatically smaller than 51MB and this number is fixed e.g. you cannot influence.
The history is stored in Processors\db\cache\monitor\log.txt and the entries are "newline" separated. You could potentially truncate this file either manually or from script to your needs.
But after all, 7k jobs is not much and by design it should not be disturbing in any way to have this amount of jobs in the monitoring stored. Do you have some troubles like slow status monitor or similar?

You can right-click on jobs list and select "reset log", but you're gonna lose all jobs. You can also specify how many jobs you want to keep in monitor status : Right-click on job list and select "select max list size".
