FTP downloaded files are locked on NAS

Post by JFVedia2023 »

Hello,

I hope my report is unique, I didn't find any similar case.

On latests version, we experiencing an issue.
We listen FTP server as watch folder. Downloading the files when available, and move them to a NAS folder.
This is for example for weather forecast, updated automatically twice a day.
But, when we access the file thru on Mac (where there is a video Playout SDI application) the files are locked (small padlock on icon, and they are locked in the file information). It's an issue, because the process (not FFA) who copy the file on the NAS to the playout folder (on the same NAS volume) couldn't remove the file after copy, which is mandatory in our process to playout (an other watch folder handled on the Mac).

We did a lot of tests, changing file extensions, changing ftp server, It's every time the same issue.

We didn't experienced this behavior on previous versions.
Due to this issue, we cannot update, and where are still on 1.2.1.0

Is anybody had the same trouble ?

Hey JF,
might it be the same issue as here:
https://ffastrans.com/frm/forum/viewtop ... 1508#p8623

The reason would be that the files on the ftp server are readonly and the readonly flag is not automatically removed by ffastrans (yet). Please try the workaround with attrib command in a cmd processor and let us know your results.
emcodem, wrapping since 2009 you got the rhyme?
