Hi folks
(As I've described in my previous bug report) we have following farm setup:
- 1 FFAStrans running in VM (Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) and acting as "manager node"
- 2 FFAStrans running on physical machines (one is WS2008 R2 SP1, other one is WS2012 R2) and acting as "transcode nodes"
- we're using version 1.0.0.5 of FFAStrans, which is running as service on all three hosts, system is set up to use local cache
- both source watchfolder and target dropfolder are located on EMC Isilon cluster (OneFS 8.0.0.1) and accessed via UNC path
We have a workflow which includes a FrameRate processor node - see a screenshot bellow.
We are encountering a strange issue - all jobs are failing at the FrameRate Convertor processor on transcode node running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 but succeeds on other transcode node running Windows Server 2012 R2.
It fails here:

Error message is: No video or audio found in media.
I'll send avs and avs_validation.txt files in PM if needed.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Jobs are failing at the FrameRate Convertor processor on one tronscode node but succeeds on other node in farm
Hi Silicon,
Like I told you in previous post, you should not be using Server 2008 or lower anymore. I'm sure we can make it work but that's would be my first thing to mention.
Because you're using the av media decoder and thus avisynth is at play here, it might be a C++ redistributable issue. All dependencies SHOULD be in the FFAStrans package but you can try installing 2015-2019:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -downloads
I would still be interested in seing the log files if you could PM to me

Hi Steinar
It seems that 2015-2019 C++ redistributable installation solved the issue.
The WS2008 vs WS2012 situation explained in PM.
Thaks a lot again
