Hm, are you sure you have full unrestricted write access to your FFAStrans folder?

You, were right. I solved it and it was related to permissions. I copied the programm folder from one machine to a smb share and then down to another workstation. Somwhere on that way the permissions were screwed up.. I downloaded the 7z and now everything works like it should.
